As a result of reaching 100,000 fans on Facebook, iD software have dropped the price of their stunning shooter RAGE on iPhone and iPad. Both the HD and non HD version have seen a price drop meaning you can not pick this game up without spending a penny.

The game looks great and plays great. Some major criticisms of the game have been that it is ‘on the rails’ i.e. you can’t control where your character moves. This isn’t actually a bad thing though, some of the greatest arcade shooters of all time have been ‘on the rails’.

The game is quite a hefty download, at over 700MB, but you will soon see why as the visuals are great. The controls work well too and now that the game is free, you have absolutely no excuse no to download it!

Key Features

  • Arm yourself with a pistol, shotgun or machine gun, and battle your way through three levels – the mutant-infested Tenements, the lunatic-ridden Asylum, and the not so-abandoned Bunker.
  • Perform hit-streaks and pick up “Bash Bux” to max your score as you make your way through three action-packed levels, each with four degrees of difficulty.
  • Experience high resolution graphics, including an exclusive HD version for the newest generation of iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, coupled with dynamic music and sound effects.
  • New – v1.11 Features Game Center Leaderboards to compare your daily, weekly and all-time scores with friends and global leaders. Game Center Achievements with more than 50 unique unlocks with career, map and difficultly specific challenges. Gyroscope support (iPhone 4 & iPod touch 4), Museum Mode, 2nd Display Support and Mirror Mode
